Jammin’ in the Park is a signature Old School R&B concert hosted annually by the City of Lauderhill. With a mission to support meaningful causes, such as providing golf opportunities for children in underserved areas and promoting COVID-19 prevention, the event has become a cornerstone of the community for the past ten years. This year’s event featured headliners like Montell Jordan, Gyptian, and other talented artists, drawing in audiences for a night of great music and purpose.
Throughout this project, I applied a wide range of skills to ensure the event’s success:
Video Editing: Crafted engaging and informative videos that captured the essence of the event.
Campaign Materials: Designed and led the creation of diverse campaign assets to promote “Jammin’ in the Park.”
Logo Design: Designed the iconic “Jammin” logo, which has become synonymous with the event’s brand identity.
Brand Strategy: Developed a cohesive brand strategy to align with the event’s goals and connect with the target audience.
Campaign Strategy: Created and implemented a comprehensive campaign strategy to maximize visibility and engagement.
Leadership: Directed and managed the creative team to ensure seamless project execution.
Social Media Management: Developed targeted creatives and managed boosted campaigns across multiple social platforms to reach the right audience.
Marketing: Crafted and monitored a robust marketing plan, including tracking registrations and engagement metrics.
Campaign Execution: Oversaw the execution of advertising campaigns, including ad targeting and boosting for optimal reach and impact.
Collateral Delivered:
Digital flyers, print flyers, 4×8 signage, artist spotlight graphics, Eventbrite cover designs, Facebook covers, newsletters, magazine ads, radio and TV commercials, backstage backdrops, VIP and car passes, day-of-event signage, TV reels, email blasts, and more.
This project exemplifies my ability to manage multi-faceted campaigns, deliver creative assets across platforms, and drive engagement through strategic branding and marketing efforts.
Social Media Campaign
I crafted the social media caption below and strategically promoted this event across Instagram, Nextdoor, and Facebook platforms. My approach ensured the message resonated with the target audience and maximized engagement on each platform.
Email Blast 
We’ve mastered the art of connecting with diverse audiences through strategic email campaigns. With a database of over 13,000 contacts, partnerships with the Lauderhill Performing Arts Center, and strong media relationships, we ensure our messages reach the right people. The team and I extended our outreach to radio stations, bloggers, social media influencers, and newspapers for the Jammin event, effectively amplifying awareness.
For the Jammin Concert, a free outdoor show celebrating 90s hip-hop and dancehall, our goal was to engage music lovers across South Florida. Using targeted language like “outdoor concerts,” “90s hip-hop,” and “dancehall,” we reached audiences passionate about these genres. We also sent tailored emails to past concertgoers with similar musical tastes to ensure our efforts hit the mark.
